On this page you can find an overview of all our certifications. Our production process is proven to be (at least) as good as European standards as we are ISO9001, BrC and SA8000 certified. We comply on all food safety requirements with extensive testing performed by international independent companies such as SGS, Intertek, Din Certo and TUV Rheinland.

Company certifications

  • BRC Global Standards are used by over 30,000 certificated suppliers in over 130 countries. These standards aim to guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria to ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.

  • ISO 9001 is a globally recognized quality standard. The standard is part of the ISO 9000 series and it supports quality control within an organization. Within an ISO certification, a management system is used that must meet the requirements set in the standard.

  • SA 8000 is an international certification standard that encourages organizations to develop, maintain and implement socially acceptable workplace practices. The certification covers issues such as forced and child labour, occupational health and safety, freedom of association and collective bargaining, discrimination and more.

  • GKB is FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified and offers the possibility to make all cups from FSC® certified paper. FSC®-certified forests are managed to strict environmental, social and economic standards. Because FSC® is auditing the complete supply chain from forest until end products, this ensures the end user that the paper comes from sustainable resources.

  • The Bundesverband der Deutschen Automatenwirtschaft e.V. (BDV) certificate is a quality mark awarded by the German industry association for the vending machine sector. This certificate is designed to ensure that a company meets strict requirements in terms of quality, reliability, and compliance with regulations within the vending machine industry.

  • GKB is PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified and offers the option to produce all cups using PEFC™ certified paper. PEFC™ certified forests are managed according to strict environmental, social, and economic standards. Because PEFC™ audits the entire supply chain, from the forest to the final product, it guarantees that the paper used originates from sustainably managed resources.

  • GKB is Nordic Swan Ecolabel certified and offers the option to produce cups that meet the strict criteria of this prestigious certification. The Nordic Swan Ecolabel ensures that products meet high environmental standards throughout their entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction to production, use, and disposal. This certification guarantees that the cups are made with minimal environmental impact and support sustainable practices.

  • The Flustix plastic free label is the first and only registered European sustainability certificate concerning plastic-use in products. GKB produces cups with a water-based coating that have the Flustix plastic free certificate. This certificate is given to products that meet the strict requirements of Din Certco Flustix.   • TÜV Rheinland’s highly qualified experts test technical systems and products around the world, support innovations in technology and business, train people in numerous professions and certify management systems according to international standards.

  • DIN CERTCO is the certification organization of DIN – Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. – and the TÜV Rheinland Gruppe. Independence, neutrality and many years of experience ensure a high regard for the organization.They offer a variety of certifications, which are always tailored to the needs of the product concerned.

  • Intertek is a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide. Their network of more than 1,000 laboratories and offices and over 44,000 people in more than 100 countries, delivers innovative and bespoke Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification solutions for their customers’ operations and supply chains.
